LIFE'S STORIES - LIFE'S LESSONS

Have you ever taken the time to look over the story of your life? I have found that it is a very necessary piece of our life's journey. I will be turning 58 years old this month and as I look over my life thus far I see that every life has a story and every story has a lesson. I must be honest in saying that there are parts of my story I do not like revisiting and there are lessons I would rather not have learned yet I can also declare that He does make all things beautiful in His time. I remember reading that scripture years ago and thinking there was no way He could make that beautiful....no way! As the process continued I one day found myself encouraging someone else in the area that I thought was going to devour me and I understood in that moment that yes He had made it beautiful. It was beautiful to sit and to tell the story of His faithfulness in my life to someone who felt they did not have the strength to take another breath. It was beautiful to encourage someone not to let go of the anchor of hope in Jesus as they sat telling me of their hopelessness. It is beautiful to sit and encourage someone who feels downcast and depressed and tell them that He is the glory and the lifter of their head and He will not forsake them. It is beautiful to hold someone's hand as they speak of their lonliness and to remind them of the verse in Psalm 23 that says, for Thou are with me. The story goes on of the lesson's I have learned and that I continue to learn in the stories of my life. It is my prayer that you will begin to look at your journey in the earth and see the chapters of your life as your story of lessons learned. If you feel you have not learned a lesson then begin today to open yourself up to the spirit of the living God who is our teacher, our comforter and our wonderful counselor. God wants to use your story and the lessons you learn in your life's journey to speak of His goodness to you in the land in which you live. The bible tells us to go and tell of the good things He has done and today I pray you will see your life as story of lessons learned that speak of His faithfulness of all generations. I LOVE YOU, Gale
